Based on the objectives of the Institute, its activities include:

 

  • study of sociodemographic and family policy;
  • exploring the main trends for sociodemographic developments and demographic forecasts;
  • exploring the social, economic and demographic issues of migration and resettlement;
  • education and social problems related to it;
  • the study of the characteristics of socialization, social identity and social-cultural values;
  • exploring issues of social and cultural development;
  • participation in formulating methodological issues for population assessment;
  • involvement in the drafting of legislative and normative acts for demographic policies;
  • exploring social and spatial issues;
  • formulation of appropriate measures for raising the level of demographic education of the public and promoting their implementation;
  • exploring the social and demographic issues of providing employment for the population;
  • study of issues of social and family transformation;
  • exploration of sociological problems of the family;
  • long-term analysis, social, demographic and population dynamics (fertility, marriage, migration, mortality and stratification, social mobility, social welfare);
